Mobile Application
The BlackShark mobile application provides role-based field access for supervisors, technicians, guards, technical managers, and clients. The app opens the workspace assigned to the signed-in account.
Install and Sign In#
- Download the current Android APK from the BlackShark public website while UAT downloads are enabled.
- Install the APK and allow installation from the browser when Android requests it.
- Open the application and enter your work email address and password.
- Complete a required password change before continuing.
The APK is built for a specific BlackShark server. Confirm the environment with the person distributing the APK before testing.
Supervisor#
The supervisor workspace includes:
- assigned sites and rostered guards;
- guard check-in and check-out;
- optional guard signature during check-in;
- guard leave requests, including supported bulk capture;
- panic alert access;
- location-aware field records;
- an Offline Operations Desk and Sync Centre.
The duty list contains only guards within the supervisor's managed site scope. Use search and client filters when the list is large.
Offline Supervisor Work#
Site visits, occurrences, patrol logs, supervisor notes, and incident reports can be captured without a network connection. The app stores pending records on the device. When connectivity returns:
- Open Sync Centre.
- Review pending entries.
- Start synchronization.
- Resolve any item marked Requires Review.
Do not uninstall the application or clear its storage while unsynchronised work is pending.
Technician#
The technician workspace shows job cards assigned to the signed-in technician. Use search and status filters to find a job, then record checklist progress, comments, evidence, completion notes, client signature, and any client concern.
Scheduled assigned jobs also appear in the mobile calendar. The Technical Manager has a separate review queue for completed jobs and can approve, request correction, or reject with supporting evidence.
Calendar#
The mobile calendar shows events visible to the signed-in user. Filters include Today, This Week, Meetings, Department Calendar, and Agenda. Technician schedules include assigned job cards with scheduled dates.
Client#
Client accounts open the client mobile workspace. Available areas include the dashboard, deployments and guard feedback, reports and documents, satisfaction surveys, service records, recent activity, and calendar entries exposed to that client account.
Password and Errors#
Use Change Password from the mobile menu. Use Forgot Password from the sign-in screen when email recovery is available. If a request fails, the screen retains a usable error state and allows refresh. Confirm pending offline work before signing out.
